The Zero was a long-range fighter aircraft operated by the Imperial Japanese Air Service. In early combat operations, the Zero gained a legendary reputation as a 'dogfighter' remaining king of the air until around 1943. The aircraft was designed with long range and performance in mind, durability and pilot protection were not considered priorities which led to many very good pilots loosing their lives. Ultimately this resulted in an Allied advantage later in the war.

This plane is so easy to put together you don't even need the instruction apart from reading the bit about letting the retracts down so you can fit the two screws in to fit the wing in place. This plane look awesome, a really nice finish by FMS, and it flys really well and all it needed was a little down trim on the elevator. The plane will tip stall on landing if you are going too slow and it will raise its nose when flaps or down. I land it with no throttle and nose down and flare it about a foot off the ground. Its not really a plane for a beginner but this plane track very well through the air and goes where you point it. I'm lovin it!
